YOUTH PROGRAMS
Since its founding in 1997, Burbank Housing Corporation (BHC) has recognized that supporting children and working families is essential to building a stronger, safer community.
Through our longstanding partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Burbank & Greater East Valley, BHC helps our families access affordable after-school and summer programs by subsidizing program costs and offering special rates designed exclusively for BHC residents.
We believe affordable housing is only one part of helping families thrive. By investing in our youth and working families, BHC is creating opportunities for children to learn and succeed, while strengthening our community for generations to come.
These youth program opportunities are available exclusively to current residents of BHC affordable housing properties.
BRIDGE PROGRAM
In Fall 2026, Burbank Housing Corporation (BHC) transitioned its longtime Activity Center after-school program to a new school-site model through its partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Burbank & Greater East Valley.
The BHC Bridge Program was created to provide temporary after-school care assistance to BHC families at Burbank Unified School campuses, while BHC transitions away from its existing after-school programs at its Activity Center sites.
Through the Bridge Program, BHC covers the annual registration fee and monthly program costs for eligible families, allowing children to participate at no cost.
By providing services where children already spend their day, the program reduces transportation barriers, builds upon established community resources rather than duplicating services, and offers families greater convenience.
ELMWOOD SUMMER CAMP
BHC's Summer Program, operated in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Burbank & Greater East Valley, is based at the Elmwood Activity Center and provides children with a fun, safe, and enriching summer experience.
Campers enjoy weekly field trips, open swim at local pools, bi-weekly park visits, hands-on enrichment activities, and opportunities to build friendships throughout the summer. The program is open to children entering 1st through 8th grade. BHC also offers financial assistance to eligible resident families who are unable to afford the $40 weekly program fee.
