Our Mission & Work

Burbank Housing Corporation (BHC) is a private, non-profit community housing developer providing affordable housing and resident services to low & moderate-income households in Burbank, CA. Since 1997, our organization has positively impacted local neighborhoods and offered essential programs to our resident community.

A nine-member volunteer Board of Directors operates Burbank Housing Corporation (BHC). BHC Board Members are appointed from key segments of the Burbank community, including the Chamber of Commerce, Wesley Senior Housing, the City of Burbank, and BHC residents.

Board Member Qualifications

We are seeking individuals who are genuinely interested in affordable housing and have a commitment to serving their community. Ideal candidates must be:

• Currently living or working in Burbank (Not a current BHC Resident)

• 21 years of age or older

• Fluent in English

• Interested in the welfare of the entire community

• Able to uphold the highest standards of ethics and integrity in all Board activities

• Able to offer skills, expertise, and experience to further the mission and objectives of the organization

• Available to attend board meetings on the 4th Tuesday of every other month at 5:00 pm. 

• Able to represent BHC at community events & outreach activities

How to Apply

Starting September 2nd at 8:00 am, applications will be available for download on this page. Please complete and submit your application by the deadline, October 1, 2025, at 4:00 pm PST. Applications may be submitted via email to info@burbankhousingcorp.org.

After receiving applications, the BHC Staff & Board Committee will review all submissions. Those selected will be invited for an interview, where they can share their vision for affordable housing in Burbank and explain how they can make a difference on the board.
