2026 Annual Waiting List Update

2026 Waiting List Annual Update Banner with property exterior and Burbank Housing Corp logo

Burbank Housing Corporation (BHC) manages its own waiting list for its Affordable Housing Program. BHC is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) Community Housing Development Organization that manages 300+ affordable rental units. All vacancies are filled through a structured waiting list process. Eligibility is based on household size and combined gross annual income.

Income limits are established by the State of California for Los Angeles County:

  • Low Income: 30–80% of Area Median Income (AMI)

  • Moderate Income: 81–120% of Area Median Income (AMI)

When space allows, our office will reopen a lottery application process for its Low Income Waiting Lists for two weeks, no more than once a year. Our Annual Waiting List Updates inform the community of the current status of BHC’s Waiting Lists and clarify expectations for the year ahead.

Following our recent 2025 Waiting List Lottery and a review of current placement rates, Burbank Housing Corporation has determined that its Low-Income Waiting Lists will remain closed at this time. Our organization will not have any further updates until 2027.

This decision reflects our ongoing commitment to ensuring fairness within our waiting list process and providing timely housing opportunities to our current applicants. We appreciate the patience and understanding of our community as we navigate this year's closure.

Moderate Income Waiting List

Our "Moderate" Income Waiting List is open year-round for households who earn 81-120% of the Area Median Income (AMI). Eligible households are encouraged to apply via our website: https://www.burbankhousingcorp.org/moderatewl

The opportunity to apply for the Burbank Housing Corporation’s Affordable Housing Program is offered without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, religion, ancestry, genetic information, source of income, age, marital status, familial status, sexual orientation or preference, gender identity, or disability, or any other basis prohibited by law.
