Help Shape the Future of Affordable Housing in Burbank
Are you passionate about affordable housing and interested in getting involved in the Burbank community? Burbank Housing Corporation (BHC) is seeking an engaged Burbank resident to serve on its volunteer Board of Directors. Applications for our At-Large Board Member position will be accepted September 4 through October 5, 2026.
Our At-Large Board Member opening is an opportunity for a member of the Burbank community to join a skilled and dedicated Board that helps guide the city's leading affordable housing organization. Your professional experience, leadership, and perspective will help guide organizational policy, strategic planning, and community partnerships while supporting BHC's mission of serving local families.
We welcome applicants with experience in areas such as affordable housing, low-income housing tax credit and real estate, finance or accounting, fundraising, marketing, law, construction, nonprofit leadership, and other professional skills that can strengthen our organization.
Our Mission & Work
For more than a quarter-century, Burbank Housing Corporation (BHC) has worked alongside the City of Burbank to develop affordable housing and invest in the long-term success of low-income families that reside in our communities.
BHC owns and manages 326 affordable rental homes that provide housing for nearly 900 Burbank residents. In addition, BHC manages two nationally accredited childcare centers, the Peter McGrath Child Development Center and the Mary Alice O’Connor Family Center. Our partnerships with Home Again Los Angeles, Boys & Girls Club of Burbank & Greater East Valley, New Directions for Veterans, and KinderCare have allowed us to connect our residents with childcare, case management, education, health, and other supportive services.
BHC is governed by a nine-member volunteer Board of Directors representing key segments of the community, including the City of Burbank, the Burbank Chamber of Commerce, Wesley Senior Housing, BHC residents, and an At-Large community representative.
